Job Title: Communications Officer (1-year contract)
Organization: CAP Youth Empowerment Institute (CAPYEI)
Role Purpose: The Communications Officer will support the STEEP Project by providing strategic, editorial, creative, and operational communication support, ensuring messages are influential and informative.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute communication strategies for increased project visibility.
- Maintain consistent branding and messaging.
- Produce engaging content like stories, case studies, and impact reports.
- Manage media relations and social media for project promotion.
- Create digital campaigns focusing on gender equality in STEM.
- Coordinate community outreach and stakeholder engagement.
- Design and produce visual content for various media.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; 3-5 years in communications or media.
- Strong skills in content creation, social media, and digital marketing.
- Proficiency in graphic design and video production.
- Good understanding of strategic communication for development.
- Experience with event planning and public relations.
- Analytical skills for impact assessment.
- Preferably with knowledge in gender equality and STEM education.
